CUSTOM SKI BOOT FITTING IN BIG SKY

Our Big Sky location is in the Town Center at 47 Town Center Avenue. Big Sky is one of the largest ski resorts in the US — 5,850 acres with genuinely uncrowded terrain and some of the best tree skiing in North America.

The same process that made Surefoot the largest-volume custom ski boot retailer in North America is available right here in Big Sky: a 538-point foot scan, custom orthotic milled on-site, and a foam-injected liner molded to your exact foot shape. Most fittings take 45–60 minutes. You leave with boots you can ski the same day — no break-in period.

We've fit everyone from first-day beginners to FIS World Cup racers to guests who thought their skiing days were over until we got them into the right boot. Walk-in appointments are available when space permits, but we recommend booking ahead during peak season.

WHAT TO EXPECT

01
Orthotic Scan
A 3D imager maps your foot in 538 precise locations, building a detailed topographic model. Your data is sent directly to our on-site fabrication machine.
02
Assessment
Your fitter evaluates your skiing history, ability, build, and goals. Combined with your scan data, they select the optimal boot from over 100 models across every major brand.
03
Fabrication
A three-axis CAD/CAM mill shapes raw EVA blanks to your exact measurements. The orthotic is sealed and hand-trimmed for precise alignment inside your boot — while you wait.
04
Custom Liner
You step into the boots while a technician injects gel-like memory foam into the liner shell. Within minutes it solidifies — a liner molded to your foot and only your foot.
05
Hit the Mountain
Walk out and ski. No break-in period. Free follow-up adjustments for the life of the boot — we stand behind every fit.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where is Surefoot in Big Sky?

Surefoot Big Sky is located at 47 Town Center Ave b1 — in the Big Sky Town Center on the way up to the resort. We're right next to Cowboy Coffee Co. and Pinky G's Pizzeria.

Do I need an appointment for a ski boot fitting at Big Sky Resort?

Appointments are strongly recommended, especially during peak season at Big Sky Resort. Walk-ins are welcome when space allows, but booking ahead guarantees your time slot. Most fittings take 45–60 minutes.

What does a Surefoot custom ski boot fitting include?

Every Surefoot fitting includes a 538-point 3D foot scan, a full skier assessment with an expert fitter, custom orthotic fabrication on-site, and foam-injected liner molding. Our liners are heater-integrated — batteries are available for purchase if you want the full heated boot experience. You leave with boots that fit your foot exactly — with our Absolute Fit Guarantee and free follow-up adjustments.

How is Surefoot different from other ski boot shops?

It starts with technology — our contact digitizer is the most precise foot scanning system available — but what separates Surefoot is everything that comes after. Decades of expertise across 29 locations, a network of career boot fitters who ski the mountains you ski, and a process that does the heavy lifting so you don't have to think about your boots again. Custom orthotics milled on-site. Foam-injected liners with zero break-in period. And if anything ever feels off, free adjustments at any Surefoot location — wherever your season takes you. We've been standing behind our products since 1982, and our Absolute Fit Guarantee means we don't stop until it's right.
