If for any reason or at any time during the lifetime of your Surefoot Custom Ski Boots you are dissatisfied with the fit, just bring them into a Surefoot location where we will repair or replace them at our discretion and at no expense to you. This guarantee does not cover the natural breakdown of materials over extended time and use.
- Go to any of our 29 stores. It doesn’t have to be the one where you bought. Your scan is on file at every location.
- Tell the fitter what you feel. Adjustments are free for the lifetime of your boots, and your liner can be adjusted or re-foamed.
- If adjusting isn’t enough, we repair or replace your custom work at our discretion, at no expense to you.

Is Surefoot worth it?
That’s for you to decide, but here’s what you’re paying for. A Surefoot fitting starts with a 3D scan of each foot. Your boot fitter chooses a shell from 100+ models, mills a custom orthotic in the store, and injects a liner around your foot while you stand in the boot, all in a little over an hour.
Your scan stays on file at all 29 stores, and the Absolute Fit Guarantee means that if the fit isn’t right, you bring the boots back and we keep working on them. Several of the reviews above say it was worth every penny.
How much does Surefoot cost?
It depends on what you choose. You can buy a regular ski boot with its stock liner and have it fitted by our boot fitters at no extra charge, or add a custom orthotic, a custom foam-injected liner and Winterheat heaters, now or later. Your fitter will walk you through each option. Ask them to price the whole setup before you start.

Is Surefoot a franchise?
No. Surefoot was started in Park City, Utah, in 1982 by brothers Bob and Russ Shay, and it’s still family-owned and family-operated. Every one of our 29 stores is part of the same family business. Our story.
Should I go to Surefoot or an independent bootfitter?
A good bootfitter anywhere can help. What’s different at Surefoot is the system and the reach: a 3D scan of each foot that stays on file at all 29 stores, a custom orthotic milled in the store, a liner injected around your foot in about five minutes, and a guarantee you can use at any of our locations, including stores at the base of the mountains where you ski. How long do Surefoot liners last?
Most customers get multiple seasons out of a Surefoot liner, even at 100+ days a year. Because the foam is injected around your foot, it doesn’t pack out the way a factory liner does. Any of our stores can check how yours is holding up. The Absolute Fit Guarantee doesn’t cover the natural breakdown of materials over extended time and use. More on custom liners.
