Ski sock FAQ
What makes the Vapor different from a normal ski sock?
It's engineered around the boot, not the foot in isolation. Eight knit zones map to the places a ski boot grips — cuff, calf, ankle, arch, heel, and toe — so the sock holds its position and your foot transfers power cleanly to the edge instead of sliding inside the shell.
Thin sock or thick sock for ski boots?
Thin. A precise boot fit depends on a thin, consistent layer — bulk just adds pressure points and cold spots. The Vapor is ultralight on purpose, built to all but disappear inside a Surefoot boot.
Won't merino wool be too warm, or itchy?
Merino regulates temperature rather than just adding heat — it keeps feet dry, warm, and odor-free across a full day. It's blended with nylon for durability and a soft, non-itchy next-to-skin feel.
Should I wear wool socks for skiing?
Yes, and merino in particular. Wool keeps insulating when it is damp, which cotton and most synthetics do not, and feet sweat inside a boot even on a cold day. It wicks that moisture away from the skin, regulates from a cold first chair to a warm afternoon, and resists the bacteria that make socks smell. A good merino sock is the easiest first step to dry, comfortable feet all day. If you still run cold, Winterheat boot heaters are the second step.
How should a ski sock be worn inside the boot?
One smooth sock, pulled up past the top of the boot, and nothing else in the shell. The fit problems we see most often come from a second sock, a sock that stops below the cuff, or thermal tights tucked into the boot down to the ankle. Each one adds a pressure point, a cold spot, or a layer that moves. A single thin sock lets the boot hold your foot the way it was fitted.
What's the difference between Peaks, Diamond, and Plus?
All three share the merino blend, seamless toe box, ankle compression, and a women's fit. Diamond adds the diamond knit pattern; Plus adds shin padding for extra protection under the boot cuff. Peaks is the everyday Vapor.

How do I care for them?
