PRIVACY POLICY

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on the site, place an order, enter a contest or sweepstakes, respond to a survey or communication such as e-mail, or participate in another site feature.

When ordering or registering, we may ask you for your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously. We also collect information about gift recipients so that we can fulfill the gift purchase. The information we collect about gift recipients is not used for marketing purposes. If you use our online fit lookup, we use the email address you enter to check whether you have records on file with a Surefoot store.

Like many websites, we use "cookies" to enhance your experience and gather information about visitors and visits to our websites. Please refer to the "Do we use cookies?" section below for information about cookies and how we use them.

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, purchase products, enter a contest or promotion, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:

  • To personalize your site experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested.
  • To allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests.
  • To quickly process your transactions.
  • To administer a contest, promotion, survey or other site feature.
  • If you have opted-in to receive our e-mail newsletter, we may send you periodic e-mails. If you would no longer like to receive promotional e-mail from us, please refer to the opt-out section below. If you have not opted-in to receive e-mail newsletters, you will not receive these e-mails.

Visitors who register or participate in other site features such as marketing programs and members-only content will be given a choice whether they would like to be on our e-mail list and receive e-mail communications from us.

How do we protect visitor information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. When you place orders or access your personal information, we offer the use of a secure server. All sensitive/credit information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our databases to be only accessed as stated above.

Do we use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your device through your web browser (if you allow) that enable the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. For instance, we use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart, to understand how visitors use the site, and to measure our marketing.

These technologies may record your interactions with this site — including the pages you view, the products you look at, searches you run, and items you add to your cart — and transmit that information to the service providers named below.

You can review and change your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings panel (also available via the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer of every page). A full list of the individual cookies we set, organized by category, is available inside that panel. You can also configure your browser to warn you about or refuse cookies; if you turn cookies off, some features of the site (such as the shopping cart) will not function properly.

What tracking technologies do we use?

We use the following third-party analytics and marketing technologies on this website:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — collects information about how you use the site (pages viewed, products viewed, searches, items added to your cart, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device/browser information) so we can understand site usage and improve our site and products. Sets cookies beginning with _ga.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — collects information about your visit (pages viewed, products viewed, items added to your cart) together with browser identifiers, so we can measure our marketing and reach visitors with relevant messaging on Meta platforms. Sets the _fbp cookie. This activity may constitute "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you can opt out as described in "Your privacy choices" below. We instruct Meta to process data for California residents under its Limited Data Use restrictions.
  • Klaviyo (Klaviyo, Inc.) — powers our email program. If you sign up for our emails or interact with them, Klaviyo may connect your on-site activity (such as products viewed and items added to your cart) with your email address so we can send you relevant messages. Sets cookies beginning with __kla.
  • CookieYes — our consent management platform. Stores your cookie choices (the cookieyes-consent cookie) and keeps a record of the consent you have given or declined.
  • Shopify — powers our product catalog, cart, and checkout, and sets cookies necessary to operate the store.
  • Acuity Scheduling — powers in-store fitting appointment booking. Information you enter in the booking scheduler is processed by Acuity under its own privacy policy.

Your privacy choices (California and other U.S. states)

If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect about you, and request a copy of it.
  • Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for completed transactions).
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising technologies such as the Meta Pixel may be considered "sharing" (or in some states, a "sale") of personal information under applicable law.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To opt out of sale/sharing, click Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information (also in the footer of every page) and switch off the categories you don't want, then save. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal: if your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing for that browser automatically.

To exercise your rights to know, delete, or correct, email us at info@surefoot.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your request (for example, by confirming control of the email address associated with your information) and respond within the time required by law. You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

Do we disclose information to outside parties?

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information with service providers who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you (such as our website host, payment and checkout provider, email platform, and appointment scheduler), under agreements that limit how they may use it. As described above, our use of advertising and analytics technologies involves transmitting certain information about your visit to those providers, which may be considered "sharing" under some state privacy laws — you can opt out at any time using the links above. We may also release information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety.

How can you opt out, remove or modify information?

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link; clicking it removes you from future marketing emails. Please note that due to email production schedules you may receive emails already in production.

To modify or delete other information we hold about you, email us at info@surefoot.com. Please note that we may maintain information about an individual sales transaction in order to service that transaction and for record keeping.

SMS Communication Policy

Surefoot may use SMS (text messaging) solely for customer service and satisfaction purposes. These messages are intended as a courtesy to provide important updates related to your account, service appointments, product purchases, or repair status. We do not send marketing messages via SMS. By providing your mobile number — such as when purchasing a product, requesting a repair, or interacting with our customer service — you agree to receive such transactional text messages from Surefoot. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier.

You may opt in to receive SMS messages during account creation, service scheduling, or while completing a purchase or repair request. If at any time you wish to stop receiving SMS communications, you may opt out by replying STOP to any message you receive, or by contacting us directly through our customer service channels. Surefoot does not share your phone number or SMS communication data with affiliates, third parties, or marketing partners. Your information is kept strictly confidential and used only for the purpose of enhancing your experience with our services.

In an attempt to provide you with increased value, we may include third-party links on our site. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these linked sites (including if a specific link does not work).

Changes to our policy

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page. Policy changes will apply only to information collected after the date of the change. This policy was last modified on August 6, 2026.

We welcome your questions, comments, and concerns about privacy. Please email us at info@surefoot.com or contact us with any feedback pertaining to privacy, or any other issue.
