From beginners to experts, a Surefoot custom liner is the best way to end the cold, pain, and misery of ill-fitting ski boots. Our liners work with all brands and models — hailed as the most versatile upgrade out there.

The Foaming Process

Five Minutes From Pour
To Perfect Fit.

Expertly crafted, our liners are manually injected by one of our boot fitters with a gel-like memory foam material that solidifies in five minutes — creating a protective, flexible liner that molds perfectly to fit your foot and ankle.

At Surefoot, we take pride in our unique foaming process. Custom-built from the ground up to your foot's every curve, Surefoot Contoura Liners deliver a custom fit unparalleled in precision and comfort.

Frequently Asked

FAQs

Absolutely. We sell regular ski boots with the manufacturer's stock liner — fitted properly, at no extra charge, by our expert boot fitters. Custom insoles and liners are upgrades you can add whenever you want more comfort, support, warmth, or precision: now, next season, or never. Either way, you get the same fitting expertise.
Yes. Our liners work with all brands and models of ski boots — you do not need to buy a new shell from us to get the custom liner.
A resounding yes. Many of our customers are surprised to learn just how pivotal ski boots are to their overall skiing experience. Even as an intermediate skier hitting the slopes occasionally, the right boot can dramatically enhance your performance and enjoyment. Ill-fitting boots lead to discomfort, reduced control, and increased fatigue due to pressure points, improper sizing, and circulation issues. A custom-fitted boot elevates your control and comfort and sets the stage for a significant improvement in your skills and enjoyment of the sport.
Surefoot Custom Liners and Orthotics are exclusively available at our 29 Surefoot stores worldwide. Each store is part of our family-owned, family-operated business — not a franchise — allowing us to maintain the highest standards of quality and service. You won't find our custom products at other retailers, but we welcome you to visit us for a personalized fitting.
About five minutes from pour to solid. A boot-fitter manually injects a gel-like memory foam into your shell while you're standing in it. The foam solidifies in five minutes and you can ski on it immediately — no break-in period required.
The X Heat is our all-around performance liner with an injection-molded upper cuff and a power-channel tongue — most skiers and most Surefoot employees ski in it. The R Heat is a lower-volume, FlexFit™ liner built for high-performance skiers in their boots 100+ days per year. The C Heat is a softer, more relaxed-fit liner for less aggressive skiers, with a sculpted lower cuff for calf-area comfort. The C Wrap Heat pairs memory-foam injection around the foot with a moldable EVA wrap around the lower leg — built specifically for skiers with larger calves.
Surefoot liners last dramatically longer than stock factory liners. Most customers get multiple seasons of use out of a single custom liner — even at 100+ days per year. Because the foam is manually injected and tailored to your foot, they do not "pack out" the way factory liners do after a handful of days.
Yes — that's the single most common reason skiers come to us. Because the foam is injected while you're standing in your own boot, the liner forms to your exact foot and ankle geometry. Hot spots, pinch points, and that packed-out-heel feeling that forces you to take boots off at lunch all go away. If something doesn't feel right, bring the boots back to any Surefoot location for a free adjustment.
Every Contoura liner comes with an integrated heating element built into the toe box. Heat itself is optional — add Surefoot Winterheat batteries whenever you want instant warmth. You can include the batteries when you get your liners fitted, or add them anytime later.
Yes. Bring your boots into any of our 29 locations worldwide any time for adjustments. Our Absolute Fit Guarantee means we'll repair or replace your liner at our discretion — at no expense to you — if you're not completely satisfied. This guarantee does not cover the natural breakdown of materials over extended time and use.
Insurance coverage for ski boot liners is rare — they are a comfort/performance product, not a medical device. Custom orthotics are more commonly covered when prescribed for a specific condition. Ask your local Surefoot technician for an itemized receipt if you'd like to submit a claim; coverage varies by plan. HSA/FSA reimbursement depends on your account and medical justification.

I've skied with pain for over 15 years trying multiple boot options with different boot-fitters. My first day on the Surefoot boots was the first day I didn't take a ski boot off at lunch — and the first day I stopped skiing because my legs were tired, not from foot pain. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
