The first layer
of your fit.

A precise, comfortable boot fit starts with the sock. After decades of fitting ski boots, our fitters designed the Vapor for what actually happens inside the shell: a thin, even layer that stays put, so the boot can hold your foot the way it was fitted.

Vapor Peaks has an ultralight fit, similar in thickness to other ultralight ski socks, with the mountain-peaks design on the cuff.

How to wear it
in a ski boot.

The sock is the first layer of your boot fit. Wear it the way our fitters do.

  1. One sock. Nothing else.No second pair and no liner sock. Extra layers add pressure points and cold spots.
  2. Pull it smooth and high.No wrinkles at the heel or instep, with the cuff above the top of the boot.
  3. Keep thermals out of the boot.Base layers stop above the boot cuff, so only the sock sits inside the shell.

Ski sock questions

Before you buy.

What size ski sock should I get?

Unisex and Women's styles use the same sizes, so choose by your US shoe size. Small fits US men's 3–5.5 and women's 4–6.5; Medium fits men's 6–8.5 and women's 7–9.5; Large fits men's 9–11.5 and women's 10–12.5; XL fits men's 12–14.5 and women's 13–15.5. Mondo, EU and UK sizes are in the size chart on this page.

Should ski socks be thin or thick?

Thin. A precise boot fit depends on a thin, consistent layer. Bulk adds pressure points and cold spots, and a thick sock can make a well-fitted boot feel tight. The Vapor is ultralight on purpose, so the boot can hold your foot the way it was fitted.

What's the difference between Peaks, Diamond and Plus?

All three share the merino blend, seamless toe box, ankle compression, and Unisex and Women's styles. Peaks is the everyday Vapor. Diamond is the same fit and thickness with a diamond knit pattern. Plus adds cushioning around the shin, heel and toe.

How should I wear a ski sock in my boot?

One smooth sock, pulled up past the top of the boot, and nothing else in the shell. The fit problems we see most often come from a second sock, a sock that stops below the cuff, or thermal tights tucked into the boot. Each one adds a pressure point, a cold spot or a layer that moves.

Is there a 3-pack?

Yes. Choose 3-Pack at the top of the options, then your pack. A 3-pack costs 15% less than three single pairs, in Unisex, Men's and Women's assortments.

How do I wash them?

Machine wash cool and air dry to protect the merino and the knit structure. Follow the care label on the sock for specifics.

Warm, dry, dialed in.
