A 538-point scan records the shape of your foot. Your orthotic is then precision-milled from EVA and fitted to your footwear. In-store fabrication takes about 30 minutes; this is separate from online order delivery.

We're able to alter the foot scan to match any activity and ski boot or shoe shape. High-impact sports require softer density materials for added cushion, while low-impact activities benefit from denser support.

Our Process
Custom Orthotic Fabrication
First, we capture your foot shape at 538 points. Next, a milling machine shapes an EVA blank from that digital scan, using a density matched to your activity. Finally, a Surefoot fitter trims and checks the orthotic in your footwear. Your scan is saved for additional pairs.

Do I need a new scan to order another pair?
If Surefoot already has your scan, we match it to your online order. You can choose a different activity for an additional pair. If this is your first pair, visit a Surefoot store for your scan and fitting.
How much do custom orthotics cost?
Standalone Surefoot custom orthotics cost $285 per pair. They are precision-milled from your foot scan in a density matched to the activity you choose.
Can I use my ski orthotics in everyday shoes?
A pair made as part of a ski-boot fitting is intended for those ski boots. Order a separate pair for everyday shoes or another activity using your saved scan. Explore custom orthotics for ski boots →
Can I return standalone custom orthotics?
Standalone custom orthotics are not returnable. They have the Absolute Fit Guarantee: bring them into a Surefoot location for fit issues, where we will repair or replace them at our discretion and at no expense to you.
